What is the turbobit.net file sharing system?

Turbobit.net is a free net space where you may upload your files, store them, share your files with your friends by providing them links to your files, and download your friends’ files using their links.

How long does the turbobit.net server keep the files?
  • For unregistered users, the maximum storage period is 7 days.
  • For registered users, storage time will be automatically added - 30 days starting from the moment of the most recent file download.
  • For Turbo Users, storage time will be automatically added - as many as 60 days starting from the moment of the most recent file download.

All files will be kept only if they comply with our rules and do not violate the laws of your country.

The above implies that as soon as any file containing data violating copyright or other law in any way is detected, it will be immediately removed from the service.

What size may the uploaded file be?
  • For unregistered users, the maximum file size is only 200 MB.
  • For registered users, the maximum file size is 100 Gb. (from browser only up to 4Gb.)
  • For Turbo Users, the maximum file size is 100 Gb. (from browser only up to 4Gb.)
What’s Turbo Access?

This is a paid-for service offering advanced settings of the sharing service, such as increased download speed, an upload resume after re-connection, direct link download, extended storage time, and other advantages.

What download speed will I have by becoming a Turbo User?

Download speed for a Turbo User is about 1GB per second, if your connection allows it.

How do I purchase Turbo Access?

I have become a Turbo User, but your service does not recognize me as one. What is wrong?

Please make sure that your browser allows cookies. Make sure also that the software you are using does not block cookies (some Firewalls do).

What do I do if I receive no SMS or email message with my password?

Just do not panic! We will of course resend you your password – or give you your money back.
Please give our support team as detailed information as you can:

  • your mobile phone number or the e-money account you used to transfer the payment
  • the time when you sent the message
  • the short number to which you sent the message
  • the name of your operator
  • text of the message etc.
Why is my download/upload speed low?

A low download or upload speed may be due to your provider’s settings. You can find out your settings by following this link.
If the file you are downloading is being downloaded by several users simultaneously, this may also result in a low download speed because our servers will distribute the load equally between users. To avoid this and gain download priority, you may either become a Turbo User or try downloading at a different time of the day.

I followed the link for file download and received a «FILE NOT FOUND» message. Why is this?

A «FILE NOT FOUND» message means that the file you are addressing was removed from our server.
There may be several reasons for this:

  • the file has been deleted by the user who had uploaded it
  • a copyright violation
  • storage time expiration
How much may I download from turbobit.net?

The total size of downloads is restricted by your provider’s settings and your user status. If you are a free user, you may download about 5 GB a day if downloading continually, but note that free account speed is limited.

All users who have Turbo Access may enjoy the maximum download speed possible and download up to 25 GB a day.

I receive a message «Your IP reached connection limit, please try again in 500 (300, 200 etc.) seconds». What do I do to download the file?

Turbobit.net aims at providing quality service to all users from all regions worldwide independent of the file size, of download time, or of the user’s browser or other settings.

To do this, we use Dynamic Download Splitting which helps us provide an equal download opportunity to all free users notwithstanding the file size. Turbo Users have the priority in download speed; other users are placed in a queue; first come first served.

The time you have to wait in line (the time specified in the message you receive from the Service, e. g. try again in 300 seconds) depends on several different things such as popularity of the file, the load of the turbobit.net server in you net zone, the time of the day etc, but the main factor is the file size.

The bigger the file you downloaded the last time before you requested the latest file from the same IP, the longer you will have to wait. To reduce your waiting time, we recommend downloading small files first.

You may also change your IP and try downloading the file again, since it is your particular IP that reaches the connection limit.

I receive a message from your service stating that I am downloading a file at the moment or that I have reached download limit while I have not been downloading anything! What may be the reason for that?

Our service is checking your IP to keep download records. If you receive such a message while in fact you have not been downloading anything, it means that you are using a proxy employed by a lot of users simultaneously. You may not be using a proxy for your computer, but your provider may be employing a client’s transparent proxy.

How to solve this problem? If you have access to your network settings, quit your proxy. If you cannot do that, the only way out is to buy a Turbo Account. Turbo Users are recognized by their cookies, not by their IPs. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel all IP checks; otherwise we would to shut down the service because of uncontrolled downloads. We hope for your understanding.

I can not download a single file, what do I do?

If you’re not a Turbo User, try quitting all your download masters (software boosting download speed).
If the problem persists, probably your browser does not allow cookies. You need them if you are using a proxy.

I upload files through FTP and do not see them in my Personal Office – why is this? What are the restrictions on FTP upload?

The FTP server is synchronized with your Personal Office every 10 minutes. That is, after an FTP upload, the files appear in your Office in about 10 minutes.

Due to the synchronization process, there is another restriction – you cannot upload more than 10 GB in total in 10 minutes to the FTP server.

Can I search for particular files on Turbobit?

No. We care about our users’ privacy and confidentiality of information. Only those who upload files on turbobit.net receive the download link, and it is up to them to decide who will receive access to this file.So, you have access to the file only if you have the complete link.

What download software may I use for downloads?

You may use any popular program, such as Speedget, Download Accelerator Plus, GetRight, FlashGet and GoZilla, as well as Google File Download Manager etc.

I used PayPal for payment but did not receive my username and password. What do I do?

Please check your email account again. Probably the message was suspected spam and placed in Spam Messages.
If you cannot find our message, please submit the PayPal transaction number and your email registered with PayPal to our Support Team.

What do I do if I cannot upload files?

Submit the following details to our Support Team, in full:

  • your username (if you are a registered user)
  • the time at about which you tried to upload the file
  • names of the files
  • mode of upload (using your browser, through FTP, from another site, several files)
  • if you used FTP, specify the number of the upload server (submit the log of the program you used for upload)
  • if you uploaded the file from another site, specify the links to the uploaded files
  • if you used a browser, specify the browser
  • a description of all errors appearing when you tried to upload the file

The more data you provide, the faster the query is processed and the more quickly you receive an answer!

How does monthly subscription works?
How do I cancel my turbobit.net subscription?

You can easily cancel your TurboBit subscription at any time. To cancel your subscription use the instructions in emails from Plimus.com. When you cancel, your account will continue to be Turbo access until the end of the term that you have already paid for.

How do I sign up for Bonus?

To sign up for Partnership, you need to check the box Participating in Partnership Program in your «Settings», specify your payment details and press the «Save» button; and then you will have the Partner’s Interface.

What is payment information?

Payment information is your Payment instructions (details) to where you want the funds earned in our Bonus Program to be sent/transferred to.

Which payment information should I provide?

At the moment we support only Webmoney payments. You need to provide us with your Webmoney Z-purse.

If I do not have Webmoney account?

Unfortunately, currently we do not use any other means of payment.

How do I change payment details?

To change your Webmoney account, you need to send us an email from the address specified in your registration details where you state your previous and current accounts.

How and when do I receive the money I earned? Can I obtain the money through the PayPal system or via bank card?

All payments are in roubles. Money is transferred only through the Webmoney system to an R or Z-purse, depending on your settings.

When transferring money to a WMZ purse, you receive your payment at the exchange rate on Webmoney Exchanger as of the day of payment.

The time to process your payment application is about 3 or 4 working days. The minimum transfer amount is $10.

Who are Referrals, and what is a Referral Link?

You may invite your friends and people you know to participate in the turbobit.net Partnership Program. For this purpose, you are provided with your referral link in the Referrals section, and you may also have the colorful promo-materials to post on your site, in your blog or on a forum.

The turbobit.net service employs a 2-level referral system.

If you give your referral link to a person who then registers through it, this person will upload files and earn money just as you do, and become your Level 1 Referral. You will receive 20% of this person’s earnings.

If your Level 1 Referral invites another referral, this person becomes your Level 2 Referral, and your earnings will increase by 5% of your Level 2 Referral’s earnings.

In our referral affiliate program download links are like referral links. It means that if somebody will come to download any of your files and than will register on TurboBit.net, he will become your 1st level referral.


You must not register your own new accounts using your own referral link – this is strictly prohibited!

Are there any other ways to earn money with the help of turbobit.net sharing system?

If you own a domain you may create your own file sharing service (with the help of our technologies) and make money on your clients’ files.

You will have a fully-fledged file sharing resource, named and designed as you like, while we are running the technical part (storage space, server loads, capacity, user scripts, billing and the like).

If you own a site where visitors post links to files stored on turbobit.net, you can earn via such links.

I can see that my files are being downloaded, but my earnings are low. Why is this?

«My Files section» shows total downloads, while the «Statistics > Files» section shows only unique downloads (those you are paid for according to the rules set by turbobit.net administration).

  • links to file downloads must be posted on web pages (spamming links through ICQ, email etc. is strictly prohibited)
  • only unique downloads through an IP within 24 hours are counted. That is, if 10 files were downloaded within 24 hours through one IP, your Partnership Program Statistics will show this as 1 download.
What is a unique download?

A unique download is a download through one IP. This means that if someone downloads 10 your files through one IP in 24 hours, those downloads will be counted as one download. To have 10 downloads, you need 10 people to download your file.

We introduced this restriction in order to prevent ‘wind-up’ (repeated downloads of one and the same file by one and the same user).

Why was my file removed?

There are two reasons your file could be removed:

  • you might have uploaded illegal materials, and our moderator removed it
  • your file expired and was removed automatically (expiration period is 30 days for registered users and 60 days for Turbo Users)

If within the set period your file had been downloaded at least once, it will never be deleted.

Can I make an archives and set passwords on it?

You can upload on turbobit.net archives with passwords which was generated only by WinRaR or WinZiP.

But you must not use for your files special services like filecash.ru, to make a secret access code, which users can buy then, using an SMS-service.

Please note: We will freeze in full or in part, without preliminary notification, accounts used for distribution of such files.

Do I need 1,000 downloads of one file or of all files to have a 1,000 downloads bonus?

Bonuses are calculated for each unique download in accordance with our tariffs.

For example, if a file obtains 100 unique downloads while the 1,000 downloads bonus for this file is $15, your bonus will be $1.50.

In addition, our service holds a lot of events. We value our well-performing users, so you will always have an opportunity to increase your daily earnings.

Why does the statistics section show one and the same tariff of $0.01 for 1,000 downloads of both 5 MB files and 55 MB, although the tariffs are in fact different?

This happens because of rounding-off.
$10 for 1000 downloads makes $0.01 each.
$8 for 1,000 downloads makes $0.008 each, if rounded off it makes $0.01.

To see that the earnings are in fact different, you need either to set the currency to roubles in your settings or to view your statistics for a large number of downloads.

Why does Statistics > Earnings show $0.02 for Referrals, while the Referrals section shows $0.00 for each referral for the same day?

This happens because of rounding-off.
For example, if your profit per referral earning for this day is $0.008, the «Referrals» section will show it as $0.00.

At the same time, the Referrals column in «Statistics > Earnings» shows total earnings of your referrals for a particular day. This may also be rounded if your currency is set as USD.

To see the actual percentage we pay you for your referrals’ earnings, you need to set the currency to roubles in your settings.

How often is the downloads and earnings statistics in Bonus Program refreshed?

Statistics is refreshed once in 1 hour.

What is a Golden Partner? Can I become one?

«Gold Partner» status is won by our most active webmasters; they receive 20% of Turbo Access value bought to download their files (minus operators’ charges).

What do I do if I cannot upload files?

Submit the following details to our Support Team, in full:

  • your username (if you are a registered user)
  • the time at about which you tried to upload the file
  • names of the files
  • mode of upload (using your browser, through FTP, from another site, several files)
  • if you used FTP, specify the number of the upload server (submit the log of the program you used for upload)
  • if you uploaded the file from another site, specify the links to the uploaded files
  • if you used a browser, specify the browser
